About Us
Allyn & Associates was formed to provide Real Estate and Lending services to the community of Santa Barbara and the Tri-Counties. The emphasis is on customer service and we consider ourselves to be counselors first and agents second. The result of this philosophy is that the majority of our business relationships are repeat and referral customers. We have relationships with Attorneys, Accountants, Financial Planners and most of the Real Estate community. Our reputation is of utmost importance, especially since Santa Barbara is such a small community.
We specialize in:

- Multiple lending options: super jumbo, jumbo, conventional and private money placement
- Reverse mortgages for qualified seniors over 62 years-old
- Commercial Lending for a variety of property types including Office, Multi-family, Raw land, Agriculture and Mixed-use
We currently have 12 Associates. Seven of these are experienced as Loan Officers and as Real Estate Agents. The remaining specialize in either lending or real estate sales. We have formal training classes for both Lending and Real Estate. We have a formal office meeting once a month to go over new laws and any changes in the industries. We also regularly attend educational and informational webinars. Nearly everyone in the office is a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers and/or the California Association of Mortgage Professionals. We have in house Processing. Two of our Associates reside in Ventura County and three in Los Angeles County.
We are members of the Santa Barbara Association of REALTOR’S, National Association of REALTOR’s, California Association of REALTOR’s, the Ventura County Coastal Association of REALTOR’S MLS and the West San Gabriel Valley MLS giving us access to California Real Estate Technology Services MLS which includes Los Angeles County and other parts of the State.
Currently all agents and loan officers are 1099’d independent contractors. At this time for RESPA loans we only offer Lender Paid programs to maintain the IC status of the agents.
The company is a sole proprietorship. Michele Allyn is responsible for the day to day operations, including guiding and managing the loan officers and agents, bookkeeping, training, recruiting etc. Our Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) ID is #331254.
